b) 3-Methoxy-4-(3-methyl-[1,2,4]-triazol-1-yl)-phenylamine; 1-(2-Methoxy-4-nitro-phenyl)-3-methyl-1H-[1,2,4]triazole (77 mg, 0.33 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (5 mL). The flask was evacuated and flushed with nitrogen. This procedure was repeated two times. 10% Palladium on charcoal (8 mg) was added. The reaction was stirred at under an atmosphere of hydrogen over night, filtered and the filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure to yield the title compound as a brown solid (67 mg, ca. 100%). MS ISP (m/e): 205.2 (100) [(M+H)+]. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz): δ (ppm)=8.35 (s, 1H), 7.37 (d, 1H), 6.32-6.35 (m, 2H), 3.82 (s, 3H), 2.47 (s, 3H).
