General procedure: Practical synthesis of regioisomeric 6- and 7-Methoxytetrahydro-3-benzazepines has been reported accordingto Organic Process Research & Development 2010, 14, 380e385.Removal of trifluoroacetyl could be effective with NaOH in THF/H2Omixed solution. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for4 h and extracted by ethyl acetate. The organic layer was thenconcentrated under reduced pressure and used for the next stepwithout further purification.
