4.2 General procedure for the preparation of oximes (5a-h)
General procedure: Hydroxylamine hydrochloride (1.2equiv) was added to a solution of the aldehyde 2 (1equiv) in MeOH (60ml) followed by pyridine (1equiv). The reaction was stirred at rt for 2.5h. After the MeOH was removed in vacuo, the residue was suspended in DCM (120ml) and washed with 1M HCl solution (3×30ml), H2O (3×30ml) and brine solution. The organic phase was dried (Na2SO4) and then concentrated at reduced pressure. The oximes 5 were purified by silica gel column chromatography eluting with hexane-EtOAc or recrystallization.
