9.4 g (0.038mol) Compound 14 was dissolved in 200ml methano, 8 g(0.2mol) sodium hydroxide solution (160 ml) was added, heated to 60 degrees for5 h. Most of the methanol was distilled off under reduced pressure, the aqueouslayer was washed with dichloromethane (60 ml×2), the aqueous layer was acidified to pH 2, theprecipitated solid was filtered, the filter cake was washed with water, anddried to give a pale yellow solid 15 7.2 g,in yield of 90.3%.
