Steps:

4.1.9.7. 2-chloro-4-morpholinofuro[3,2-d]pyrimidine (17).

To a mixture of 16 (0.20 g, 1 mmol) in methyl alcohol, was added morpholine(0.23 mL, 2.6 mol). The mixture was stirred at 25 C for 2 hand much white solid was separated out when removed to 0 C. Finally, the mixture was filtered to obtain 17 0.24 g, yield 98.3%,m.p. 144-146 C.
