Steps:

1-3 Example 2 prepares 2- (2-tert-butyl) phenoxy) acetic acid

25.0g of 2-tert-butylphenol and 200mL of methyl ethyl ketone were added to a three-mouth bottle, 33.3g of sodium hydroxide was added, heated to 55 °C, and stirred. Add 45.8g of 2-bromoacetic acid dropwise, control the internal temperature to 50±5 °C, and stir for 4h. TLC (petroleum ether: ethyl acetate = 4:1) monitors the reaction and the reaction is complete. Concentrate at 50 °C without obvious droplets, add 250 mL of water and 170 mL of methyl tert-butyl ether, add 3N dilute hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH = 1 ~ 3, after the separation of the liquid phase and then use 150 mL of methyl tert-butyl ether extraction, combined with the organic phase to concentrate the dry, to obtain a light yellow solid, dry at 45 °C to obtain 32.5g, yield: 93.7%.
