with hydrazine monohydrate in ethanol at 25 - 70; for 2.5 h;

Steps:

Intermediate 136: 2-thiazol-4-ylethanamine :

[00797] A mixture of 2-(2-thiazol-4-ylethyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione (Intermediate 135, 800 mg, 3.10 mmol) and hydrazine hydrate (316.42 mg, 6.19 mmol, 307.21 uL) in EtOH (10 mL) was heated for 30 minutes at 70°C. The reaction mixture was then stirred at 25°C for another 2 h. Insoluble materials were removed by filtration, volatiles removed under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by reversed-phase HPLC (0.1% NH3*H2O condition) to give the title compound as a brown oil (230 mg). [00798] 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ = 9.01 (d, J = 2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.34 (d, J = 1.8 Hz, 1H), 2.88 - 2.78 (m, 4H).
