Steps:
5-(Cyclopentyloxy)-2-pyridinamine
5-(Cyclopentyloxy)-2-pyridinamine 6-amino-3-pyridinol (200 mg, 1.816 mmol) and K2CO3 (502 mg, 3.63 mmol) were suspended in N,N-dimethylformamide (2.5 ml). Bromocyclopentane (0.195 ml, 1.816 mmol) was added and the mixture was stirred at 80° C. for 5 hours. The mixture was allowed to cool to r.t., filtered on a filter tube washing with EtOAc. The organic was washed with ice/water (3*2 ml) then dried (vacuo) to afford a brown oil that was purified by silica gel chromatography (Biotage SP1, 25+M column) eluding in gradient with 0%-10% MeOHDCM to afford the title compound as a brown oil (11 mg, 3%). UPLC-MS: 0.46 min, 179 [M+H]+; TLC (DCM:MeOH 9:1) Rf 0.63.
