Steps:

The suspension of 2 (3.35g, 13.77mmol) in CH₂Cl₂ (10mL) was treated with dropwise addition of 4-chloro-3-(trifluoromethyl)-phenyl isothiocyanate (3.10g, 14.01mmol) in CH₂Cl₂ (15mL) 0°C under argon. The mixture was stirred at room temperature, and a yellow solid precipitated after 15min. The mixture was stirred for 24h and then filtered. The solid was washed with CH₂Cl₂ and dried under vacuum for 12h at 40°C to afford 3 (6.07g, 95%) as white solid [19].
