[0305] To a solution of 7-bromo-2-chloroquinoxaline (10 g, 41 mmol, 1 eq.) in CH₃OH ( 200 mL) was added K₂C0₃ ( 12.4 g, 91 mmol, 2 eq). The resulting mixture was stirred under reflux for 2h, then cooled to rt and concentrated. The resulting residue was dissolved in THF and filtered. The filtrate was concentrated to afford 7-bromo-2-methoxyquinoxaline as a white solid (9.88 g, 100%).
