Preparation of ethyl O- -N- -L- tert-butoxycarbonyl-tyrosine methyl ester (Compound V)
The 30kg (102mol) N- t-butoxycarbonyl-tyrosine methyl ester was dissolved -L- 150LN, N- dimethylformamide, was added 44kg (404mol) bromoethane, 56kg (405mol) of potassium carbonate and 1.35kg (8.2 mol) of potassium iodide, 30 reaction 5H, filtered, and the organic phase was evaporated to dryness to give compound 32.7kg, yield 99.7%, HPLC purity 99.5%.
