8.2 Step-2 The synthesis of 058-C: General Method I
To a mixture of 058-B (1 .36 g, 4 mmol), Bis(pinacolato)diborane (2.24 g, 6 mmol), and KOAc (1 .15 g, 8 mmol) in 1 , 4-dioxane (50 mL) was added Pd(dppf)Cl2 (429 mg, 0.4 mmol), and the reaction mixture was purged with Ar, then stirred at 80°C overnight. After cooling to room temperature, it was diluted by water (200 mL) and extracted with EtOAc (2 x 100 mL). The organic extract was washed by brine (200 mL), dried over anhydrous Na2SO4 and evaporated under reduced pressure to give a residue. The residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (eluting with 20% EA in PE) to give 058-C (1 .3 g, 78% yield) as grey solid. LC/MS (ESI): m/z = 296 [M+18]+. RT = 1.78 min
