A mixture of potassium acetate (1.50 g, 13.99 mmol) , Pd (dppf) Cl2(190 mg, 0.23 mmol) , 1-bromo-3- (2-methoxyethoxy) benzene (1.08 g, 4.67 mmol) and bis (pinacolato) diboron (1.42 g, 5.60 mmol) in dioxane (20 mL) was stirred at 85 under N2for 24 h and cooled to rt. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo with silica gel. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography eluted with PE/EtOAc (v/v) 4/1 to give a light yellow oily product (944 mg, 72.7) .[1492]MS (ESI, pos. ion) m/z: 279.3 [M+1]+
