Yield:1195-32-0 80%

Reaction Conditions:

Stage #1:Methyltriphenylphosphonium bromide with sodium hydride in tetrahydrofuran at 70; for 0.8 h;
Stage #2:para-methylacetophenone in tetrahydrofuran at 75; for 10 h;Cooling with ice;Temperature;

Steps:

3.1; 4.1 (1) Synthesis of 2-(4-methylphenyl)-1-propene:
Add sodium hydride (1.2 g, 0.03 mol) and methyltriphenylphosphonium bromide (8.6 g, 0.036 mol) to 70 mL of anhydrous tetrahydrofuran, stir at 70°C for 0.8 hours; then add under ice-water bath conditions 20 mL of a 1.5 mol/L p-methylacetophenone solution in tetrahydrofuran, heated to 75°C for 10 hours to obtain a reaction mixture; add dilute hydrochloric acid to the reaction mixture to quench the reaction, and adjust the pH with dilute hydrochloric acid To neutrality, and finally extract three times with petroleum ether to obtain organic phase A, the organic phase A is dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, concentrated under reduced pressure, and column chromatography with petroleum ether to obtain 2-(4-methylphenyl)- 1-Propylene, the yield is 80%
