Procedure for the Synthesis of 4:

General procedure: The microwave reaction tube was added with aromatic boronic acid 1 (0.5 mmol), ammonia (0.6 mmol, 25% aqueous solution) 2, propargyl halide 3 (0.5 mmol), K2CO3 (138 mg, 1 mmol), and H2O (2 mL). The mixture was conducted under 5 watt microwave for 10 minutes, and the reaction was monitored by TLC. The system was diluted with 30 mL of H2O after the reaction was completed, and the mixture was then extracted with EtOAc for three times. The organic layer was separated, washed with water and saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous Na2SO4. The evaporation of the solvent provided the crude product, which was subjected to column chromatography (silica gel, EtOAc-petroleum ether 1:8→1:3) to obtain arylaminomethyl acetylene 4.
