with sodium hydrogencarbonate in ethyl acetate at 20; for 1 h;

Steps:

Irsogladine Maleate (0.3g,0.80 mmol) was dissolved in ethyl acetate (50mL) and stirred with saturated NaHCO₃ solution (50 mL) at room temperature for 1 hour. The organic layer was collected and washed with distilled water. The organic layer was further dried over Na₂SO₄ and concentrated under reduced pressure to afford compound 8 in 70% yield.
