The solution of tert-butyl 5-cyanoisoindoline-2-carboxylate (4.00 g, 16.4 mmol) in TFA/DCM (2M, 100 nil) was stirring at 15 °C lbr 120 miii. After LC-MS showed the reaction was completed, the reaction solution was concentrated to give the title compound (2.36 g, 99.9 %), which was used for the next step directly.
