Reaction Conditions:

with tetrakis(triphenylphosphine) palladium(0) in N,N-dimethyl-formamide at 80; for 3 h;

Steps:

26 tert-Butyl 5- cyanoisoindo line-2- carboxylate

To a solution of tert-butyl 5-bromoisoindoline-2-carboxylate (5.00 g, 16.8 mmol) in DMF (150 nil) was added ZN(CN)2 (3.94 g, 33.5 mmol) and Pd(PPh3)4 (3.62 g). The mixture was stirring at 80°C lbr 3 h. After LC-MS showed the reaction was completed, the mixture was concentrated and the residue was purified by column chromatograph on silica gel (eluted with PE: EA = 3 0:1) to give the title compound (4.00 g, 97.6 %). ‘H NMR (400 MHz, CDC13) ? 7.53-7.60(2 H, m) 7.33-7.42(1 H, m) 4.71-4.76(4 H, m) 1.53 (9 H, s).
