General experimental procedure for the reaction of N-hydroxyimides with sodiumbenzenesulfinates

General procedure: N-hydroxyimides (0.25 mmol), sodium benzenesulfinates (0.25 mmol) and molecular iodine(0.05 mmol) were placed in a vial, then the reaction mixture was reacted under ultrasoundirradiation. Upon completion, the reaction mixture was quenched by addition of 10 mL of water.The aqueous layer was extracted three times with EtOAc (10 mL × 3), and the combine organiclayers were dried over sodium sulfate, evaporated to dryness, and to afford the desired products.
