Tetrahydrofuran-3-carboxaldehyde (100.12 g, 1.0 mol), Raney Ni (20.02 g) and 15% ammonia were added to the reactorMethanol solution (340 g, 3.0 mol), then 4 MPa of H2, stirred at 60 oC for 12 h, cooled to room temperature, slowlyThe mixture was filtered off and the catalyst was filtered off. The filtrate was concentrated in vacuo to give 100.64 g of 3-aminomethyltetrahydrofuran in a yield of 99.5%.
