The methyl 3-mercaptopropionate is a raw material for synthesizing a simvastatin side DMB-S-MMP3- [ (2, 2-dimethyl-1-oxobutyl) sulfur ] methyl propionate serving as a blood fat-reducing drug by an enzyme method.
