Isopropyl nonanoate has little or no interest to perfumery, but it finds some use in flavor compositions (not listed as G. R.A.S. in the USA) as a modifier in Apple, Coconut, Brandy and various fruit complex flavor types. It is slightly fresher, greener and more ethereal than the n-Propylester.
