Description

This alkaloid, in which the pregnane keto group of the preceding base is reduced to a secondary hydroxyl group, occurs in small amounts in Pachysandra termi_x0002_nalis Sieb. et Zucco It is laevorotatory having [O:]D - 18° (CHC13). Oxidation with chromic acid yields Pachystermine A.
