Dimethylenastron Chemical Properties,Uses,Production

Uses

Dimethylnasetron is an inhibitor of mitotic motor kinesin Eg5, triggering apoptosis and upregulates Hsp-70 in human myeloma cells.

Biochem/physiol Actions

Dimethylenastron is specific, reversible inhibitor of the mitotic motor kinesin Eg5. Dimethylenastron inhibits bipolar spindle formation, and inhibits proliferation, migration and invasion of several pancreatic cancer cell lines in cell based assays.

in vivo

Dimethylenastron (1.0 μmol) induces a milder scarring but the length of bleb survival is not significantly prolonged compared with the control group. Dimethylenastron (1.0 μmol) reveals a markedly reduced ratio of intraocular pressure and a milder, but not obviously reduced, subconjunctival fibrotic reaction in the rabbits treated with glaucoma filtration surgery^[3].
