Uses
PGF1alpha (Prostaglandin F1alpha) is a smooth muscle relaxant and a stable metabolite of prostacyclin (PGI2).
General Description
Prostaglandins (PGs) contain prostanoic acid. They are divided as PGA, PGB, PGC, PGD, PGE and PGF groups. They all contain a five-member ring structure differing in their functions. PGF is known to be more soluble in phosphate buffer. PGF1α is a serum eicosanoid.
