Butyl phthalyl butyl glycolate is used as a plasticizer for polyvinylchloride. It isusedformaking avarietyofpackaging films because it imparts very good stability to heat and light.Safety Profile
Mildly toxic via intraperitoneal route. Experimental teratogenic and reproductive effects. Mutation data reported. An eye irritant. When heated to decomposition it emits acrid and irritating fumes.Carcinogenicity
