Isoproterenol hydrochloride is an organic substance with a chemical formula of C11H18ClNO3. It is a white crystalline powder, odorless, and slightly bitter in taste. Isoproterenol hydrochloride is stable, but sensitive to air and light, and incompatible with strong oxidants. Easy to change color in alkaline solution.
Application areas:
1. Bronchial asthma: It is suitable for the control of acute asthma attacks. It is usually administered by aerosol inhalation. The effect is fast and strong, but the duration is short.
2. Cardiac arrest: It is used to treat cardiac arrest caused by drowning, electric shock, surgical accident and drug poisoning of various reasons. When necessary, it can be used in combination with epinephrine and norepinephrine.
3. Atrioventricular block.
