(1) Take 3g of 4-methylquinoline into a 100 ml flask, and 50 ml of dry acetonitrile was added. After the dissolution, 3.9 g of iodoethane was added, and the mixture was reacted under heating and reflux for 6 hours. After completion of the reaction, most of the acetonitrile was removed under reduced pressure distillation, product was poured into anhydrous ethyl ether and a yellow solid precipitated. After suction filtration, the filter cake was washed three times with anhydrous ethyl ether to give a pure product, yield 96%.
