Reaction Conditions:

with 5%-palladium/activated carbon;hydrazine hydrate in ethanol at 20; for 4 h;

Steps:

2-phenoxyaniline derivatives (general procedure)

General procedure: 5% Palladium carbon (1.19 g) was charged into a soltuion of 1-nitro-2-phenoxybenzene derivatives (43.86 mmol, 1.0 eq) in ethanol (60 mL) in a 250 mL three-necked round bottom flask equipped with magnetic stirrer.Then hydrazine hydrate (175.44 mmol, 4 eq) was slowly added dropwise at room temperature for 4 h.After the reaction was completed,the palladium on carbon was removed by filtration.The filtrate was added dropwise with water,then extracted with ethyl acetate.After being washed with water and dryed over anhydrous sodium sulfate,the organic layer was concentrated under reduced pressure.The residue was purified by column chromatography (eluent: petroleum ether: ethyl acetate = 25: 1) to give the product 2-phenoxyaniline derivatives.
