Steps:

506.1 Step-1. 3-cyclopropylpyridine-2-carbonitrile

Cyclopropyltrifluoro-V-borane potassium (646.9 mg, 4.37 mmol), Pd(dppf)Ch (319.9 mg, 0.44 mmol) and CS2CO3 (1424.3 mg, 4.37 mmol) were added to a stirred solution of 3- bromopyridine-2-carbonitrile (400.0 mg, 2.19 mmol) in toluene (5.00 mL) and H2O (0.50 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred at 110 °C for 14 h under nitrogen atmosphere. The resulting mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography eluting with DCM/MeOH (20/1 v/v) to obtain the title compound (320.0 mg) as a solid. LCMS (ESI): 145.00 [M+H]+.
