Steps:
4.1.4.1 7-Bromoquinazolin-4(3H)-one can be obtained as described in WO2010/146173.
400 mg 7-Bromoquinazolin-4(3H)-one was dissolved in DMF and 720 mg of CsC03 and 130 μ?^ of methyliodide were added and the mixture stirred for 3h at 25°C. Additional 50 methyliodide were added and stirred overnight at 25°C. The mixture was filtered off and the mother liquor diluted with DCM and extracted with water. The solvent was removed to yield 490 mg of 7-bromo-3-methylquinazolin-4(3H)-one as solid.Analysis: HPLC-MS: Rt = 0.66 min (method X001 004) M+H = 239/241
