General procedure: To a solution of iodoalkanes (0.12 mmol, 1.0 equiv) in CH₃CN (1.2 mL) was added Fe(phen)₃Cl₂ (0.12 mmol, 1.0 equiv). After being stirred at 60 ^oC for the proper reaction time, solvent evaporation and silica gel column chromatography afforded the corresponding alkyl chloride product
