Clear colorless liquid. Insoluble in water. Used as a plasticizer and hydraulic fluid.

Insoluble in water.

Reactivity Profile

HEXACHLOROPROPENE is substantially less reactive than less heavily chlorinated propenes. Nonflammable and not polymerizable. May be incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, strong reducing agents, many amines, nitrides, azo/diazo compounds, alkali metals, and epoxides.
