norfloxacin is a quinolone-class anti-infective drug with high degree of antibacterial activity against escherichia coli, shigella, salmonella, proteus, pseudomonas aeruginosa and other gram-negative bacteria as well as excellent antibacterial effect against staphylococcus aureus, pneumococcus bacteria and other gram-positive bacteria.
