Description

(1R)-(-)-Nopol may be used in the preparation of optically activeO,O-diterpenyl dithiophosphoric andO-terpenyl aryldithiophosphonic acids by reacting with tetraphosphorus decasulfide and 2,4-diaryl 1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfides, respectively. It may also react with silver hexafluoroantimonate to form a complex, which can be an effective initiator for the nonthermal curing of epoxy resins by electron beam induced cationic polymerization.
