Description

4,4'-Dianilino-1,1'-binaphthyl-5,5'-disulfonic acid dipotassium salt is a bifunctional fluorescent probe for nonpolar cavities in proteins. Bis-ANS has high affinity for nucleotide-binding sites of some proteins. This compound is useful as a structural probe for tubulin and as an inhibitor of microtubule assembly.
