RuCl₂[(R)-(DM-SEGPHOS^?)][(R,(R))-(DPEN)] can be used as a catalyst in the enantioselective preparation of chiral amino alcohols and their derivatives by asymmetric hydrogenation of various amino ketones using mild hydrogen pressure.
