menthyl anthranilate is the only FDA-approved liquid sunscreen chemical with uVA-absorption capabilities. It has an approved usage level of 3.5 to 5 percent. This is a stable ingredient and can be combined with other sunscreen chemicals to increase SPF while providing uVA protection.
