Chemical depilatory agent is a kind of agent being capable of making the hair become soft and lower its strength. It is able to erase or wash off the hair within 2~6min t. The application of some Swelling Agents can help to speed up the depilatory effect of the thiol-based depilatories, thereby reducing skin irritation. Such swelling agents include melamine, dicyandiamide or the mixture of the two (w = 0.5% to 2%), thiourea, potassium thiocyanate, guanidine thiocyanate and PVP copolymer.
