Description

5-Hydroxy Diclofenac is a metabolite of Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory compound that is believed to function via inhibiton of cyclooxygenase (COX). One study using mouse models showed that 5-Hydroxy Diclofenac forms a quinoneimine conjugate that stimulates proliferation of lymph node cells. Other similar studies have found that Diclofenac and its derivatives can be useful in the deconvolution of cytochrome activities.
