Description

β-Elemene is a natural sesquiterpene found in various plants and imparts floral aromas to some plants. This compound has been reported to inhibit the proliferation of a wide range of tumors. In HepG2 cells, 10-40 μg/ml β-elemene can dose-dependently induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase, upregulating Fas/FasL expression.
