Description
Thionyl chloride is used as a chlorinating reagent for acids and alcohols. It is often used in the preparation of a wide variety of alkyl chloride and acyl chloride compounds, which are useful in the manufacture of fine chemicals, drugs, drug intermediates and vitamins. It is used to prepare thionyl bromide and thionyl fluoride. It finds use in several important organic transformations including pummerer rearrangement, and in lithium batteries.More related product prices
