Description

Almorexant is a dual antagonist of the orexin 1 and 2 receptors (Kds = 1.3 and 0.17 nM, respectively). In a mouse model of narcolepsy, 100 mg/kg almorexant promoted nonrapid eye movement sleep and exacerbated cataplexy.
