D-AMPHETAMINE SULFATE Chemical Properties,Uses,Production

Chemical Properties

white powder

Uses

Amfetamine

Biological Activity

CNS stimulant. Targets monoamine transporters to elevate synaptic levels of noradrenalin, dopamine and serotonin.

Safety Profile

Poison by ingestion, intraperitoneal, subcutaneous, and intravenous routes. A human teratogen that causes developmental abnormalities of the central nervous system. Experimental reproductive effects including other teratogenic effects. A habit-forming stimulant. When heated to decomposition it emits very toxic fumes of SO, and NO,.
