(S)-α-Amino-γ-butyrolactone hydrochloride can be used:- As a precursor for the preparation of amino-keto-alcohols and β-amino acids.
- To prepare N-acylhomoserine lactone (AHL) analogs by reacting with substituted 2-chloro-N-phenylacetamide and different halides.
