Description

Penciclovir is a purine acyclic nucleoside analogue with potent antiviral activity. The compound has been used in Human Herpesvirus 6 studies and its activity assessed through flow cytometry. Herpes simplex virus-1 studies indicate that Penciclovir induces apoptosis without causing much genotoxicity.
