Description
Safrole is a natural phenylpropene that can be extracted from a variety of plants, including sassafras and nutmeg. It is a precursor in the synthesis of insecticides, fragrances, and the psychoactive drug 3,4-methylenedioxymethylamphetamine (3,4-MDMA; ). MDMA is regulated as a Schedule I compound in the United States and safrole is scheduled as a List I chemical by the Drug Enforcement Agency. Biologically reactive intermediates, including safrole, can be metabolized to cytotoxic or carcinogenic compounds in vivo. This product is intended for forensic and research purposes.More related product prices
