SR 27897 is an effective non-peptide antagonist of CCK (cholecystokinin) receptors. CCK is a neuroendocrine peptide described to play an important role in cell growth, cell proliferation, and other biological functions. Plasma leptin studies indicate that SR 27897 elevates plasma concentration of plasma and leptin in rats.
